Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 28 July 2026

1. Our commitment

Linkola is committed to protecting children from all forms of online exploitation and abuse. This page describes the standards we uphold, how we prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform, and how anyone can report concerns to us.

Linkola has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content, conduct, or contact that sexually exploits or endangers children. Any account found to be creating, sharing, soliciting, or facilitating such content will be:

  • Immediately suspended and permanently banned.
  • Reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline in accordance with U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
  • Reported to the appropriate authorities in the user's country of residence and the country where the offence occurred, including India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in).
  • Preserved for evidence in accordance with applicable law before data is deleted.

2. Minimum age

Linkola is not directed at children. Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an account (16 in the EU/EEA and jurisdictions where a higher digital-consent age applies). Accounts that we identify or reasonably believe belong to a child below the minimum age are terminated and their data deleted.

3. Prevention measures

We combat CSAE proactively and reactively through the following measures:

  • User reporting: Any user, whether signed in or not, can report a profile, message, product, coupon, or bio hub block that raises child-safety concerns. Reports go to a trained trust-and-safety reviewer within 24 hours.
  • Automated detection: All user-uploaded images (profile pictures, product photos, coupon images, hub block media) are scanned using industry-standard hash-matching against known CSAM hash databases (PhotoDNA / Google Content Safety API where available) before they are published.
  • Keyword filters: Bio hub blocks, coupon titles, product names, and public-facing text fields are screened for language associated with child sexual exploitation. Flagged content is quarantined pending human review.
  • Human review escalation: Content and accounts flagged by users or automated systems are escalated to a human reviewer within 24 hours. Suspected CSAM is reviewed only by trained staff who follow documented handling protocols; all such content is quarantined and the account is immediately restricted pending outcome.
  • Sign-up friction: New accounts sign up with email verification (one-time code) to reduce automated abuse.
  • No anonymous DMs: Direct messages require both parties to have an authenticated account with a verified email; anonymous or throwaway-account messaging is not supported.
  • Payment safeguards: All payments flow through PCI-compliant processors (Razorpay, Stripe). We do not support direct peer-to-peer payments that could be used to facilitate solicitation.

4. Reporting a concern

If you become aware of any content, account, or activity on Linkola that endangers a child or violates our child safety standards, please report it immediately:

  • In-app: Open any public profile or private message and tap the Report action. Reports are prioritised over all other queues.
  • Email: abuse@linkola.app. We respond within 24 hours during Indian Standard Time business days.
  • Emergency: If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then report to us so we can preserve evidence.

5. Point of contact

The designated point of contact for law-enforcement inquiries and CSAE compliance discussion is:

Trust & Safety, Linkola

help@busyness.app

Acknowledgement within 24 hours (IST business days); substantive response within 72 hours.

Preservation requests, subpoenas, and law-enforcement disclosures can be sent to the same address; we will respond in accordance with applicable law and our published Privacy Policy.

6. Transparency

We review these standards at least annually. Where the volume of reports justifies it, we publish an annual Trust & Safety Transparency Report summarising the number of CSAE reports received, accounts actioned, and CyberTipline submissions filed with NCMEC.

7. Compliance with applicable law

Linkola complies with all applicable child-safety laws in every market where it is available, including but not limited to:

  • The Information Technology Act, 2000, and IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (India).
  • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (India).
  • 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (United States).
  • The Digital Services Act (EU).
  • The Online Safety Act (UK).

Where the law of any country requires additional obligations, we comply with those obligations for users and content in that country.

8. Updates

We update these standards as our platform evolves or as regulations change. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email to registered users. This document was last updated on the date shown at the top of this page.
